Immerse yourself in the world of animal care with a Keeper for a Day experience! If you love animals, are considering a career in zookeeping, or just want to get up close and personal with animal care, this is the perfect opportunity.

You'll shadow one of our zookeepers as they go about their daily routines, including food preparation, socialization, enrichment activities, cleaning, and general animal care.

This program provides a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the daily responsibilities of a zookeeper, allowing you to experience firsthand what it's like to care for these amazing creatures.

Our Most Immersive Experience

You Won't Just Watch. You'll Work.

Actively assist with feeding the animals (including adorable baby genets), clean enclosures alongside lovable lemurs, chop food and prepare diets, and help with enrichment and socialization activities. This is real zookeeper work.

What You'll Do
Shadow a real zookeeper for 4 full hours
Feed animals, including baby genets

What to Bring

Cancellation Policy
Your reservation and support are important to us. As a nonprofit sanctuary, we depend on revenue from our Animal Experiences to care for the animals here. Because availability is limited, this policy allows us time to fill openings when changes occur.
More Than 7 Days Before the Experience
• Reschedule at no charge
• Cancel for a 50% refund
7 Days or Fewer Before the Experience
• No refunds, cancellations, or rescheduling
• To be considered for an exception, please email info@chasesanctuary.org. If any exception is granted it will incur a $25/person reschedule fee. This fee will be converted to a donation for the Sanctuary.
Late Arrivals
• Guests arriving 30 minutes or more after their scheduled start time may be unable to participate
• Late arrivals are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling
Payment
• Full payment is required at booking to hold your reservation
