Adoptions

Marcy

Marcy

Marcy was abandoned when her owners lost their house to foreclosure and abandoned her when they moved. She was starving and trying to survive on her own, living underneath the house she used to live in.  She is a 7 month old orange tabby who is extremely friendly and loves everyone. Marcy is comfortable around dogs, other cats and farm animals. She is spayed and up to date on all shots. She would make an excellent pet for someone who wants a cuddly loving companion.

Semi

Hemi

Semi and his two brothers were found at 4 week of age in a parking lot when they were almost run over by a large truck. One brother was placed but Semi and Boots still await their perfect home. They would love to go together but would also be happy apart as long as their new homes provide enough attention to avoid loneliness. Both are litter trained, are neutered and are up to date on shots.

Rango

rango

Rango is a grey tabby who was born to an abandoned cat. He had 6 brothers and sisters who looked just like him. Rango is very loving and will sleep on your lap purring away. He is neutered, litter trained and up to date on shots. Rango has to eat cat food with urinary tract support to prevent blockage from crystals. This special food is readily available, even at Walmart. Rango is comfortable around dogs and other cats.

Bart

Bart

Bart is a young black cat who just showed up at the sanctuary one day. We have had several other animals do this…find their way here and climb over or under the fence to get in. Bart absolutely loves people. We have never seen a cat purr as long as he does. Bart would love to have the attention of a human family. He would be a great pet for someone who wants a highly interactive animal. Bart is neutered, litter trained and up to date on shots. He is good with other cats, dogs and farm animals. Squirrels fear him.

Bandit

BanditThis is Bandit, a Nanday Conure. Bandit is very healthy and very curious. He is about 18 months old. He likes to spend the day out of his cage exploring and interacting with his environment but often returns to his cage for security. He puts himself to sleep at night by returning  to his cage and squeezing behind a toy. With some patience and kindness Bandit will be a wonderful pet.

Egbert

egbert-plucked

Egbert is a Moluccan Cockatoo. He is 10 years old (which is young for a Cockatoo). Egbert is very sweet and wants to be with his person all of the time. He is friendly and will go to almost anyone if you give him a few minutes to warm up. Egbert talks and loves to show off his dance moves. He does not do well alone so he needs a family or person who is home most of the time and/or someone with other large birds whose flock he can join. In his prior life Egbert spent too much time in a cage that was way too small for him. This drove him crazy and caused him to pull out some of his own feathers on his chest. We are working with him now, trying to get the feathers to grow back in and adjusting his environment, attention level and stimulus level to try and eliminate his feather plucking. Still….he is a gorgeous boy. We would like him to stay here for a while and re grow his wing feathers and learn to fly, as we believe this will help him. We are willing to work with a potential owner to try to achieve this, or to keep him here in a habitat setting.

David Lionhart is a friendly bunny who likes to spend the day running around returning to his cage only to potty. He is friends with the guinea pigs who live here and would do well with other guinea pigs or with another male bunny.
